What is difference between IIT and JEE?
JEE stands for Joint Entrance Exam and it is a national entrance exam held for candidates seeking to pursue an engineering course from various colleges across the country. IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology and these are the most prestigious colleges to study engineering in India.
For admissions into IITs, the candidates will be required to meet the following criteria: Candidates must have cleared 12th standard (or equivalent) examination. The candidates should be within the top 20 category percentile of the qualifying examination
When it comes to the quality of education provided IITs are ahead of the NITs. Both IITs and NITs are extremely good in providing education and producing good engineers, but at the same time the top IIT colleges have an edge because of their high standard of studies.
